  4. License Agreement — If you keep and use Bill’s Dearborn Initials, then you are automatically subject to this license agreement. If you do not want to be bound by the license, please destroy all copies of Bill’s Dearborn Initials in your posession and don’t use it. If you choose to keep Bill’s Dearborn Initials, you must register it. This entitles you to a lot, but more of that later.

  6. Bill’s Dearborn Initials are copyrighted graphics (©1991 by Bill Tchakirides and U-Design Type Foundry). If you use the font, you must observe the following rules:

  8. 1.) You may pass the font on to someone else provided you give them the entire package, including this license, printer font, screen font and instructions. It is easiest if you just pass along the .SEA archive, as it has everything.

  10. 2.) You may not charge for the font...this means NO DISK COPYING charges, no OMNIBUS COLLECTION DISK FEES (ie: Educorp, BMUG, etc.)

  12. 3.)You may not post it on Bulletin Board Services which charge for access time (CompuServe & GEnie are used by UTF for distribution and only our package is allowed on it.)

  14. 4.) It may not be included in any collection of any kind on disk, CD ROM, or other media without the expressed written consent of U-Design Type Foundry.

  16. 5.) You may not convert it to another format (IE: PC-WINDOWS, TRUE TYPE) unless it is for your own exclusive use...You may not pass on any converted software. The author retains the right to preserve quality control by doing any such conversions (indeed, plans for such conversions are now in the works.)

  18. 6.) You may use the font on any number of printers in your possession or out of it.

  20. 7.) If you try and use the font for more than a week, you must register it.

  26. Mail to: U-Design Type Foundry, Dept “C”, 270 Farmington Avenue, Hartford, CT 06105.
  27. Specify that you have downloaded Version 1.0 of Bill’s Dearborn Initials, and the source you received it from.

  29. When you register, you will receive:
  30. • The current UTF font catalogue, featuring many discounts on our acclaimed picture fonts.
  31. •    Any upgrade of the font since it’s original posting.
  32. • A coupon good for the purchase of Bill’s Victorian Ornaments at $10.00 off the regular $29.95 price.
  33. • Membership on our quarterly mailing list.
  34. • Entry information in the annual UTF user’s contest.
